Adam Croman is eleventh grade at a private school in Manhattan. Adam excels in all of his classes at school and is particularly fond of English and history, which are his favorite subjects.

Growing up in a family of pet lovers, Adam Croman has always had a special way with animals. Several years ago, Adam’s desire to pay homage to his pet dog–his family’s beloved Jack Russell Terrier named Eddie–prompted him to create the Eddie Croman Fund as a way to honor the memory of his childhood pet. Although Adam had initially started the Eddie Croman Fund to be a charitable project in conjunction with his Bar Mitzvah, the Eddie Croman Fund has outlasted and transcends its “Bar Mitzvah project” status.

In a show of gratitude for Adam Croman’s efforts on behalf of the Eddie Croman Fund, BluePearl Veterinary Partners in midtown Manhattan dedicated an exam room in memory of the Croman’s beloved Jack Russell. The Eddie Croman Consultation Room features a 42-inch touch screen monitor, which allows veterinarians to display X-rays and other images to clients, explaining their pets’ diagnoses. A photo of Eddie also is prominently displayed, too.

Adam Croman enjoys playing soccer and tennis and in his free time he volunteers at a local animal shelter. This coming summer, Adam will continue to walk and socialize stray rescue dogs up for adoption at the shelter and will also start volunteer work at the Center for Hearing and Communication.
